Define clipper and clamper with example


Clipper: Clipper is networks that employ diode to clip away a portion of input signal without distorting the remaining part of the applied wave form.

Clamper: A clamper is a network constructed a diode, a resistor and a capacitor that shifts a wave form to a different dc level without changing the appearance of the input signal.
