BJT
FET
(i) BJT is a current controlled device.
(i) FET is a voltage controlled device.
(ii) The full meaning of BJT is Bipolar Junction Transistor.
(ii) The full meaning of FET is field effect transistor.
(iii) BJT transistor is a bipolar device.
(iii) FET is a unipolar device.
(iv) BJT is low input impedance.
(iv) FET is high input impedance.
(v) BJT’s are less temperature stable than FET’s.
(v) FET’s are more temperature stable than BJT’s.
(vi) The BJT are has a much higher sensitivity to change in the applied signal than FET.
(vi) The FET has a lower sensitivity to change in the applied signal than BJT.
(vii) Low noise level.
